This Documentary workshop will address and provide insightful information on questions every producer needs to answer before deciding on the right camera and post process for their documentary film or reality show. What is your budget? What is the content? Tape or tape-less? What format is right for the project? Avid or Final Cut?

The evening will include hands-on demos with the latest camera technology and first-class tech information and hand outs.

Panelists:
Josh Apter. Film Maker, Editor and Owner of Manhattan Edit Workshop. Josh has recently completed principal photography on “Out Of Many,” a documentary that follows five people as they travel across the country to the inauguration of Barack Obama.

Peter Abel. President, Abel Cine Tech, an expert in multi-formats and whose company specializes in advising and supplying a wide variety of camera equipment for documentary and film shoots.

Panel moderated by Documentary Committee Co-Chair Shirley Escott, whose experience ranges from producing documentaries, TV dramas and non-scripted/ reality television both in the UK and USA.

These experts will aim to demystify the jargon and provide hard facts and answers in this workshop which is aimed to help you choose the right equipment and post process for a range of budgets and programs.
