Mayor Bloomberg

In just a few weeks New Yorkers will be going to the polls to vote for Mayor, Public Advocate, City Comptroller and several City Council positions.

While many are annoyed that Mayor Bloomberg changed the Term Limits law to allow himself to run for a third time, he is simply the best candidate for Mayor.

There are several reasons for this.

First, he understands the needs of the large freelancer community in the city and the importance of this community to the city’s economy. His push to exempt sole proprietors from the Unicorporated Business Tax (UBT) will save all freelancers thousands each year in taxes. The Mayor is also very committed to helping the film and television business in New York and to retain the creative class here.

Second, under his administration and with Joel Klein, the city schools have demonstrated a dramatic improvement across the board.

Third, Bloomberg has made great strides to improve the overall quality of life in the city. Small things, like the extended bike lanes, the white/green rooftops program, the reopening of Governors Island, and many other initiatives have gone a long way towards this goal.

Please vote for Bloomberg, along with Bill de Blasio for Public Advocate and John Liu for Comptroller this coming election.

And if you can, volunteer for the re-election effort.
