The emotional journey through a season of prison ministry softball underscores not only the differences in ‘free’ vs. ‘incarcerated’ man, but also their fascinating similarities.

In 1987, Dale Glading looked to combine his true loves: God and sports. So he created the Saints Prison Ministry, a very competitive softball team that challenges prison teams on two very different planes. First, you don’t expect Bible-toting 40-year olds to be a collection of hammering softball hitters. But the Saints are. It’s the key element to their more important challengeto ask the inmates if they will accept Jesus as their personal savior. The result is an emotional journey which underscores not only the differences in ‘free’ vs. ‘incarcerated’ man, but also their fascinating similarities.
